Sometimes I wonder if there are real people behind social media accounts, or robots. And when I say robots, I mean I wonder how many people, who claim to be actively involved, are really just robo-tweeting all the time. Last week I unfollowed (unfriended) a number of people who were tweeting (posting) promotions in the midst of a tragedy. Last week an author I greatly admire, Jody Hedlund, posted a blog that sparked a firestorm in an online community I participate in. What, you may ask, was so controversial? 500 words a day for Camp Nanowrimo is not asking too much. I was actually where I wanted to be Saturday night. Then on Sunday I deleted an entire chapter. Today I wrote nothing. Why? I followed a link from twitter, something about "Avoid these Cliches." My new story had 2 of the 9 cliches. *facepalm* Tonight I have decided I don't care. It's not about perfection, it's about progress. So, I'm signing off, and getting to work on my 500 words.
